Football legend Franz Beckenbauer and German World Cup-winning player and manager is dead aged 78.
Beckenbauer, he led West Germany to World Cup success as captain in 1974 and as manager in 1990. He was one of the great players of his generation.
He was also the former President of Bayern Munich football club
