A lawyer Azubike Ohameje who wrote a petition to EFCC seeking the probe of Reno Omokri has denied being sponsored by Peter Obi
The lawyer in this reply to Omokri's accusation on social media says the petition has nothing to do with the Labour Party flag bearer
This is his reply
Reno Omokri,
My attention has been drawn to your post few minutes ago, wherein you erroneously and falsely accused Mr. Peter Obi as the sponsor of the petitions against you.
Nothing can be furthest from the truth, than such malicious concoction.
Look!
I’m the lawyer and author of that public interests petition against you.
And I’ve absolutely no connection with Obi nor was briefed by him at all, whatsoever. I’ve never seen him before.
So, you must stop mentioning Obi’s name in this case.
This petition was solely inspired by your own personal posts yesterday.
And all the details and documentary evidence were furnished by your very self.
kindly face the issues raised, by availing your presence at either the EFCC, ICPC or the police to answer to the allegations therein.
Your voluntary appearance will much more douse lots of suspicions against you.
This is a criminal case against you, hence your physical presence will be indispensably required.
Please do not wait until the Interpol swing into action to fetch you.
As a “honest man” that you’ve always held yourself out to be, you should be able to clear your name on this simple matter.
Try and be your usual brave self and weather this little storm.
I trust you can!
