lingo, Olamide, aka Badoo, will this Saturday join nine other A-List Nigerian
musicians to perform at the Victoria Island, Lagos edition of the Glo
Mega Music Nationwide Tour, the flagship show of the fully
integrated telecommunications network, Globacom.
The show
which kicked off in Awka, Anambra State 10 weeks ago, has gone round nine other
locations such as Owerri Imo State, Asaba, Delta State, the commercial city of
Aba, Abia State the beautiful city of Calabar, Cross River State, the Garden
City of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Ajah, Lagos State, the ancient city of
Benin, Edo State and the Federal Capital Territory, FC, Abuja.
In a statement issued
from its head office in Lagos on Wednesday, Globacom listed world-class
artistes billed to perform at the VI show slated for the Eko
Hotels and Suites at 4.00p.m. to include the Nabania crooner,
Flavour; queen of Afro-Pop, Yemi Alade; the duo of Marvin Records music
sensations, Reekado Banks and Korede Bello; Africa's most decorated twin
musicians, Peter and Paul Okoye of PSquare; Igbo ethno-rapper, Phyno; dance
hall master, Runtown and Globacom's latest brand ambassador, Innocent
Idibia, aka Tuface.
"Globacom
recognises Lagos as the nation's centre of excellence. Just two weeks ago,
residents of Ajah and environs were treated to an evening of sublime
entertainment by the crew of the Glo Mega Music Nationwide Tour and
we are back in Lagos once again to delight our teeming subscribers with a
full bouquet of entertainment with 10 top artistes', Globacom said.
According to the
telecommunications company, "besides the music icons, six other stars in
the nation's movie industry such as the diva of Nollywood, Mercy Johnson Okojie
and her Ghollywood counterpart Juliet Ibrahim, who will anchor the show,
Nollywood legends, Richard Mofe-Damijo, RMD, Kanayo O. Kanayo, KOK,
Patience Ozokwor, aka Mama G and the most
celebrated Yoruba actor, Odunlade Adekola will make celebrity guest
appearances at the event.
"The
unique feature of the Glo Mega Music Concert is the fact that all these
listed artistes will be entertaining our subscribers free-of-charge. The
concert is, therefore, specially designed to celebrate and reward our teeming
subscribers for their loyalty and abiding faith in the Glo Brand.
We assure all
our subscribers wherever they are that we shall continue to delight them
and bring smiles to their faces", the statement reassured.
To qualify for the
show, Globacom advised its subscribers in the Lagos axis to recharge their Glo
SIMs with a minimum of N2,000 within a month and send "MUSIC"
and the preferred location to a short code 207. "For example, Glo
subscribers can send "MUSIC VI" to 207" and the subscriber will
get an SMS inviting him or her to the show".
Globacom also added
that subscribers could attend the show in more than one location provided they
register for each location and have used more than N2000 in the month of each
event.
