A Federal High Court in Abuja today
refused the bail application by the leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra
(IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu and three others.
Justice Binta Nyako ruled that the
offences for which the defendants are being charged border on treasonable
felony and attempted terrorism.
Kanu was charged alongside
Chidiebere Onwudiwe, Benjamin Madubugwu and David Nwawuisi on charges of
treasonable felony and terrorism.
In the fresh 11-count charges, they
were also accused of belonging to an illegal society and operating an
unlicensed radio station.
