FIDELIS DUKER HONORED WITH SPECIAL RECOGNITION AWARD AT BON

Nigeria's prolific movie Director ,Fidelis Duker was recently honored with an award at the recently concluded Best of Nollywood Award in Aba,Abia State.

This was how he reacted to the award via his facebook page

"Two Nights ago at the commercial city of Aba in Abia state. The 8th edition of the BEST OF NOLLYWOOD awards held and I was honored with a SPECIAL RECOGNITION AWARD for my contribution to the development and growth of NOLLYWOOD. During the presentation of the award to me by Executive Governor of Abia state Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu PHD.

He extolled the contributions of Aba (pound road) to the development of NOLLYWOOD and I remembered with nostalgia my first film titled SKELETON (in Igbo language) produced 23 years ago and how I went to the popular pound road Aba searching for a distribution deal. 

However fast forward 23years later as I return to Aba to be honored. Like I said I dedicate the award to my late mum who raised the three thousand Naira then to commence my foray into the cinematic world, my ever dependable and loving wife, my children, my colleagues, fans and almighty God."
