DATA INCREMENT:GLO AND THE REST OF PACK..CKN NEWS VIEWS.

When the first generation of Gsm operators started operations in Nigeria, they said per second billing was impossible ,Glo came and demystified that from day, they realized their mistakes and quickly joined .

At a point a sim card costs about N20,000 ,Glo came and crashed the price ,now its a mere N100..At a point they made the cost of data unreachable, while Glo was laying fibre optics across the globe, the likes of MTN had no single infrastructure on ground apart from their base stations and offices (which they rented)...After laying its fibre optics,Glo had so much bandwidth at it's disposal that it had to crash data prices...Some GSM companies felt , Glo data prices were too low for Nigerians and therefore want the prices increased ..

That led to last week's botched attempt to increase data rates..About three years ago ,data Penetration was about 20 million Nigerians ,with the crash of data prices by Glo in the past two years, over 90 million Nigerians now uses data on their phones which was what the NCC was out to achieve in the first place. Our fate and survival lies on our indigenous companies not foreign based..

Glo have shown the way and should be encouraged to do more to the benefits of Nigeria, which is why we at CKN News endorses GLO and Dr Mike Adenuga on his attempt at making Nigeria at par with the rest of the world..Our endorsement of Glo is not based on any commercial value.

Our endorsement is purely based on our conviction that with more support,Nigeria and Nigerians have the capacity to take our country to the next level..

Other GSM operators should put on their thinking caps and invest as much as Glo is doing for the benefit of Nigerians, the statement that quality of services will drop did not cut ice with us.
