More facts has emerged on why the Editor of Vanguard
Newspaper ,Mr Mideno Bayagbon resigned.
A very reliable source who works with the Newspaper
told CKN News that the Editor resigned on Monday due to some “internal
politics” within the organization.
Mr Bayagbon an Alumni of UNILAG and UNN has worked with
Vanguard for close to two decades, he rose through the ranks before taking over
from Mr Gbenga Adefaye some years back as Editor Daily.
According to the source who spoke under condition of anonymity,
Mr Bayagbon got tired of the internal politics and decided to throw in the
towel..It was a mutual agreement. He felt it was time he move on to other
things.
The Newspaper announced the appointment of Eze Anaba
the former deputy Editor as its new editor.No mention was made about Mr Mideno
Bayagbon’s exit raising speculations that all was not well.

The Management of Vanguard Media Limited, has appointed Mr.
Eze Anaba as the new Editor of Vanguard newspapers.
Mr Anaba holds a Master’s degree in Communication from
Leicester University, UK. He was, until his elevation, the Deputy Editor.
At various times, he was the Saturday Editor, Senior Deputy
News Editor, and the Law and Human Rights Editor.
He brings to the table a robust media management experience
and huge contacts in the public and private sectors.
Mr Anaba is widely travelled and is also on the boards of
some leading human rights groups in the country.
CKN News investigation revealed that Mr Bayagbon has
joined the growing ranks of online publishers with the launch of his online
page www.thenewsguru.com
All attempt made by CKN News to get Mr Bayagbon’s side
of the story was unsuccessful as his phones were switched and text messages
remained unreplied.
The media group is owned by veteran journalist Sam
Amuka whom we learnt has also brought in two of his children to be part of the
management of the media group.
