Ade
Adefeko, vice president and head corporate and government relations, Olam
Nigeria, has been named a board member of African Wealth Report (AWR) in a
non-executive capacity. The appointment was announced in a statement by the AWR
advisory board.
Adefeko
is a respected agricultural chain and food expert, as well as a brand and
communications exponent. He is currently Vice President and Head Corporate and
Government Relations with Olam Nigeria, the leading agribusiness and food
company in Nigeria, which is a subsidiary of Singapore based Olam International
a company with global presence in 70 countries organised into 16 platforms
comprising 47 Agri-commodities.
A
foremost external relations and stakeholder management specialist, Adefeko
brings to the advisory board of AWR intimate knowledge of policy issues all
over Africa, strong linkages and familiarity with key leaders and Government
functionaries at the highest level.
He is a rapport builder and understands the
need for subtle and effective commercial diplomacy which would help to drive
intelligence and data effort within the wealth management space in the
continent.

Andrew, the chairman, AWR, says Adefeko’s appointment has been received with
joy at AWR as the organisation hopes to take advantage of his skills and
strengths in the coming years.

The
appointment takes effect from July 30th 2016.
