Armed bandits yesterday stormed a
hotel located on Isnawo road, Owutu area of Ikorodu, and gunned down its owner.
It was gathered that the bandits who were about four in number arrived the premises of the hotel around 11am on two motor bikes pretending to be customers.
Witnesses said the bandits later
acted true to their intention when they tied the gateman and ordered
everyone at the reception to enter inside one of the rooms where they
were locked.
One of the intruders who disguised as a staff of the hotel headed for the room where the owner, identified as Mr Micheal Olutoye Ogunlusi, was. The owner was said to have opened the door to the room when he heard a knock on it.
One of the assailants was said to have hit the deceased with the butt of his gun and ordered him to lie face down.
He was said to have been shot dead at point blank range.
The Lagos State Acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Damasus Ozoani, revealed that four persons had since been arrested in connection with the killing.
