The Benin Traditional Council has
released the funeral rites of late OBA of Benin, Oba Erediauwa Uku Akpolokpolo
who reunited with his ancestors a month ago.
According to a statement signed by the Secretary of Benin Traditional Council, Mr Frank Irabor, the programme of events will begin Wednesday 25th May 2016 with Ekioba rites

Sunday 29 May 2016 -Izakhue and entertainment of guests.

While advising, everyone to go about their normal businessess, without fear, the statement, also cautioned every one to stay away from places where traditional rites that are not open to the public are performed during the period.
The statement further added that all unfamiliar sounds which are intended to warn people, especially the women to keep away may be heard in places, but it should not cause any anxiety among the public.
