SACK:MIKE OMERI HANDS OVER TO NGOZI EKEOBA AT NOA

Following government directive, the Director General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mr. Mike Agbo Omeri on has handed over the leadership of the Agency to Mrs. Ngozi Ekeoba who is the most senior director and in charge of Political, Civics, Ethics and Values in the Agency.

Omeri was appointed as Director General of NOA on January 16, 2012, and during his tenure worked to reposition the Agency along with its various units and organs into a proactive, knowledge based and activity driven organization, able to rise up to evolving challenges in our national space.

In a brief handover session, Omeri expressed his gratitude to the past and present administration for the opportunity given him to serve the nation as NOA Director General and for the support given to the Agency during his tenure.

While thanking staff of the Agency for their cooperation while he was in office, he said he will remain an advocate of the Agency in terms of autonomy and funding to enable the Agency deliver on its mandate.

Mrs. Ngozi Ekeoba now heads NOA in acting capacity.
