Few days ago,we published the story of ten year old Daniel Gbenga who was thoroughly trashed by his teacher at a School in Ijebu Ode,Ogun State for a minor offence.Efforts made by his parents to make the authorities of the school to see reasons on why such highhardness shouldn't have been inflicted on such a young boy were rebuffed by the School authorities who told them pointblank that if they were aggrieved ,they should withdraw the pupil from the school.

The action of the School (Leaders Foundation,Nursery and Primary School,Ijebu Ode) was brought to the notice of CKN News.On publication and seeing that the story is generating the attention of the Public across the globe,the authorities dispatched a delegation to the family of Master Daniel to beg for forgiveness.

They also wrote a letter of apology to the parents of the pupil.The parents while thanking CKN News for the exposure given the incident which had led to the school to wake up to its responsibilities ,said they have forgiven the teacher and the matter has been resolved amicably .Recently a three year old boy was also seriously maltreated by a teacher for deficating on his pant in school.This is a wake up call to the authorities to ensure that most of the schools especially the rivate ones are put under proper watch.
