Rilwan Omosun was young sports editor of Nigeria’s first evening daily, THE EVENING TIMES. In early 90s, he migrated to United States for further chances at life and profession. Few years after he arrived, he was felled by heart attack. Soon after the heart attack, Rilwan was diagnosed with Kidney disease and subsequently placed on dialysis as we hoped for a donor.
Early 2000, he was paralyzed by stroke. Rilwan continued to live miraculously even when doctors told him in 2014 that he had less than one year to live due to severe congestive heart failure. Yesterday morning, the streaks of miracle ended when he died at sunrise. His family began funeral preparations yesterday.

His corpse has been moved to a funeral home in Baltimore, Maryland, to prep him for burial. His brother, Ernest (Garvy), has been unemployed for a long time, caring for his disabled terminally ill older brother.
There is no money to pay for his burial. The family hopes to bury him next Saturday, hence this appeal.
Please help us bury a friend who lived the last 25 years of his life in daily pain and misery. The pain ended yesterday morning when he was called home. Let us give him a dignified burial.
