The marriage between the founder of Believers LoveWorld (Christ Embassy), Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and his wife, Anita has finally ended. The news of the divorce was received across the nation on Wednesday, February 18.
According to a United Kingdom law firm, Attwaters Jameson Hill, Anita’s solicitors, “Anita Ebhodaghe, formally Anita Oyakhilome, says she has finalised her divorce from the founder of Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, stressing that she is no longer a part of, or involved in, the church also known as Believers Love- World INC.”
A statement issued on Anita’s behalf by her solicitors, said the divorce was finalised on February 8, and hinted that she had dropped Oyakhilome from her name, while also severing all ties with the church.
The divorce between one of the most influential pastor in Africa and his wife has been long in coming after it was revealed some years back that the relationship was on a brink of collapse.
All efforts made by family, church members and close associates of the couple to patch up what was left of the relationship was unsuccessful .
