President Buhari, has urged politicians to be mindful of the responsibility entrusted on them, as they would give account of their deeds on earth.
Represented by the Imo State governor, Chief Rochas Okoroacha, Buhari made the declaration at the funeral service held for late mother of Abia State Governor.
He emphasized the need for public office holders to put the fear of God in whatever they do.
On his part, Ekweremadu described death as an inevitable end, noting that the deceased had lived a fulfilled life on earth. He urged Ikpeazu to strive to deliver more democracy dividends to the people of the state.
The President of the Eastern Nigeria Union Mission of the Seventh Day Adventist, SDA, Church, Pastor Bassey Udoh, observed that the late Deaconess Bessie lived for the less privileged and touched many lives. His words: “Mama Bessie Ikpeazu has done her part.
She touched many lives; people should strive to do well and make a difference wherever they find themselves. Life is not about what you acquire, it is not about position.”
Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, his counterparts in Cross River, Akwa Ibom and Ebonyi states, Prof. Ben Ayade; Chief Udom Emmanuel and Chief Dave Umahi respectively were among dignitaries.
