My main ambition in life was to
become a lawyer but providence proved me otherwise and channelled my
path to another profession but even at that ,majority of my friends and
classmates read that noble profession.People like Agabaidu Jideani Abbs Ameen 'bayo Ayo Kola Peters Dopamu Okey Peter Ilofulunwa Adebayo (Bisi and Dayo), and a whole lot of them, too many to mention..Later on ,some of my colleagues like Niran Adedokun and Egbon Richard Akinnola II and
some others also read decided to read law too..The passion grew to a
feverish height last year when a very close friend of mine and Nollywood
star KOK (Kanayo o Kanayo ) called to inform me that he is now a law
student at UniAbuja and felt it was now time to pursue my lifetime
ambition of becoming a lawyer..
I gave it a thought and decided that before 2017 ,i will surely enrol for a lwa programme. The law profession has been very noble, the likes of Gani Fawehinmi ,Rotimi Williams etc even made it more passionate. The likes Femi Falana (of old) and even current lawyers like Ebun-olu Adegboruwa have been given us sometime to cheer. But my real worry is with the main body of Nigerian Bar Association that in the past has been the voice of the voiceless and a main thrust and hope of the common man.The NBA in the past stood for the truth and the right of the oppressed..I will not forget the role people like Alao Bashorun and Priscillia Kuye played in the past during the dark days of Nigeria. They stood for the truth. The current set of NBA is what i will mostly likely describe as the CASH AND CARRY NBA,just like my bastardized profession (NUJ).
They are more interested in running after contracts and juicy electoral cases rather than looking at (and sanitising the profession).Court rulings and judgements are being disobeyed on a daily basis by the Federal Government and the NBA has not for once come out to condemn it.What do you expect when their former Presidents now contests as gubernatorial candidates under various parties.

THE NBA AS IT CURRENTLY STOOD IS A BIG SHAME,A HUGE JOKE AND A TOTAL
EMBARRASSMENT TO THOSE OF US WHO ARE NOT "LEARNED"..THE MEMBERS MUST
RISE UP TO THE OCCASSION NOW AND SAVE THEIR PROFESSION,BEFORE JUSTICE
GOES TO THE HIGHEST BIDDERS.THE NBA SHOULD REMAIN THE LAST HOPE OF THE
COMMON MAN AND NOT THE VOICE OF THE HIGHEST PAY CHEQUE MASTERS..I REST
MY CASE FOR NOW..
