The homicide policemen attached to the Lagos State Police Command, have started investigating the bodies of six women found floating in a canal at Ikorodu area of the state.
Confirming this, the state Police spokesman, Joseph Offor, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, said the command was already trying to unravel the circumstances that may have led to the death.
He said: “We don’t know the identities of the women yet. The decomposing corpses were found in a canal at Anibaba area, off Akele Street, Ikorodu.
“We have not yet made any arrest in relation to the incident. We urge Lagosians to report to the nearest police station if any of their relations are missing.”
Offor said the bodies had since been removed to the morgue by the officials of the state environmental agency.
