LAGOS STATE TO HOLD FIRST IN THE SERIES OF INTERACTIVE SESSIONS WITH YOUTHS

The Lagos State Government through the Ministry of Youth & Social Development has concluded plans to gainfully engage youth across the State in what is designed to be the first in series of lnteractive sessions. The session which will hold at the Onikan Youth Centre will be held in an atmosphere of fun and merriment.

The interactive session tagged 'Peace in the world: The role of Lagos State Youth' is billed for Tuesday 29th, December 2015.

According to the ministry, the interactive youth forum will provide a platform of interaction between the youth and representatives of the state government.

The session will also afford government the opportunity to get feedback and clarification on its policies and programmes as it affects the youth.

Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Pharmacist Mrs. Uzamat Akinbile-Yusuf, the convener and chief visoner of the forum said the programme is aimed at

*promoting healthy youth development
*massively sensitizing the youth
* engendering an actionable economic and political environment for the realization of peace within the state.
*reactivate creative potentials for economic empowerment through self help projects and
*re-arm with moral virtues and good conduct in order to reduce ill vices among the youths.

The platform will also afford them the opportunity to learn and air their views about the present administration while also discouraging them from constituting a nuisance or falling victim of associated risk especially during the festive season.


She advised members of youth organisations who have registered with the ministry as voluntary and non voluntary youth organisations in the state to take advantage of the programme as it is strictly by invitation and relate with the inclusive government of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.
