The National Secretary of Labour Party, Mr. Olukayode Ajulo, has resigned from office.
In a letter addressed to the National Chairman, dated December 8, Ajulo informed the party that his resignation is to enable him to concentrate on his law practice, business and do projects that promote humanity.
The lawyer who ran as the senatorial candidate of the party for the Federal Capital Territory in 2011 had been at variance with the leadership style of the National Chairman, Alhaji Abdulkadir Abdulsamn.
It was gathered that the genesis of the crisis of confidence rocking the party can be traced to the period shortly after the last general election, when the former national chairman, Chief Dan Nwanyanwu raised the alarm over alleged misappropriation of funds generated during the conduct of primary election.
