Between now and next year, NCC will come up with programmes to license more spectrums. This will ensure that we have enough pervasive internet penetration". The Acting EVC-NCC , Prof. Umar Danbatta said this at the 21st Anniversary of the Association of Telecommunications Companies of Nigeria (ATCON) which held in Lagos on 30th October 2015. The Director Public Affairs,Tony Ojobo,who represented the Acting EVC assured that the NCC will continue to implement policies that guarantee a good operating environment for telecom players. The Commission was also honoured with a Telecom Merit Award. Dignitaries present at the event include the Executive Governor of Sokoto State, H.E. Aminu Tambuwal; Former EVC-NCC and Chairman of Open Media Group, Engr. Ernest Ndukwe and some Management Staff of the Commission.
