GOV WILLIE OBIANO SHOULD NOT BITE THE FINGER THAT FED HIM (CKN'S OPINION)

I have been trying in the past two days to locate the write up i made few years ago when the then Anambra State governor,Mr Peter Obi single handedly picked an unknown man in the person of Mr Willie Obiano as his successor against an array of several well qualified Anambarians who were qualified to succeed him..Either out of greed or foresight,Obi was hell bent on picking Obiano based on the fact that he was his croonie and a one time staff on a Bank that Obi Owns..I made it abunbdantly clear then that i hope Obi's choice will one day not come back to haunt him.I saw it happen in Abia (Orji Kalu/T A Orji)..Enugu ..Chimaroke and Sullivan Chime..I also saw it in several other States where hand picked successors ended up biting the fingers that fed them. The latest feud between Obi and Obiano over the N75bn fund left in the coffers of the State government has finally brought to the fore what some of us have been saying all these while..Some of us knew for sometime now that all was not well between the two Anambra sons..The writing was clearly on the wall but their aides have been trying to patch things up..Now that the fight has finally shifted to the market place,it has become a free show for all to watch. But let me sound a note of warning especially to Gov Willie Obiano,no matter the case,he cannot demonise the achievement of OKWUTE as he is known..Peter Obi's legacy towers above all the former Anambra Governors put together including that of Chris Ngige who should be next to him in terms of achievements.Obiano should face his job squarely and stop exchanging words with his benefator..His "chi" has cracked his palm kernel for him,let him eat it with humility. He will not succeed in this war with Peter Obi who is a self made enterpreneur with a midas touch.Obiano should stop all this macabre dance ,sit down and deliver the divdends of democracy to his people. He will be judged not by the number of wars he undertakes but by what he was able to acheive while in office.

A WORD IS ENOUGH FOR THE WISE..IKENGA CKN
