After my visit to Kogi State to monitor the gubernatorial election that took place at the confluence State on Saturday,i decided to travel by public transport in order to monitor the state of the roads and the fuel crisis. All the roads are practically bad..From Abuja to Kogi via Okene through Auchi,Ekpoma through Benin bye pass..Between Benin and Ore,the road was relatively smooth..But Ore to Ijebu and Sagamu is complete hell on the road..Things have really gone so bad..Accidents were in mutiples, potholes that could swallow a whole trailer where everywhere. The same thing between the Sagamu bye pass leading to RCCG,up to Mowe and finally Lagos..The roads are terrible.Am still wondering how people will be able to travel this Xmas. But the beauty of the whole excercise was that at some points,i observed that the DPR is carrying out the directive by the Minister of State for Petroleum that all hoarded fuel by Petrol stations should be given out free of charge to the public..My Bus driver was a beneficiary of that gesture.. Although the situation was chaotic and took a long time but he filled his tank (Over N16,000) to the brim without paying a dime.
ONCE AGAIN ,THANKS OGA BUHARI,WE ARE SURELY HEADING SOMEWHERE,BUT YOU MUST DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS FUEL SCARCITY ASAP..IKENGA CKN
