AMOSUN'S WIFE ,OTHERS TO CLIMB MT KILIMANJARO To RAISE FUNDS FOR IDPs

The number of displaced families in Internally Displaced People (IDP) camps has become an issue of national concern, this has propelled me to seek your assistance in an attempt to assist those in these camps.

I am troubled by the number of displaced women, children and families in IDP camps across our nation, and though I am comforted by the fact that our President His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, is resolute to conquer the insurgence in our nation, I still feel that any additional support by the citizenry towards this mission would not be out of place.

Presently, our mothers, children and relatives are flung far and wide in various IDP camps scattered about our nation, having been ripped out of their homes, torn apart from their loved ones and found themselves living in makeshift camps. Suddenly, for no fault of their own, their children have been yanked out of schools by bombs and as a result, lack formal education, they are traumatized by circumstances that led them to being in these camps and would benefit from psychosocial support to stabilize them and keep their hopes alive.

Five women, myself included, will be climbing out of our comfort zones on behalf of those in IDP camps by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds to improve the living conditions of those in these camps.

Personally, I will be climbing on behalf of Her Excellency, Mrs. Aishat Buhari, Wife of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria who is so passionate about the plight of those in these camps and has demonstrated this in several ways.

Little drops of water make a mighty ocean…no amount is too little, however the more you give ,the more we can assist.
