MTN PROJECT FAME STAR "AREWA" SPEAKS ON HER LIFE,CAREER AND FUTURE PLANS

Arewa came 4th in the just concluded MTN Project Fame competition..She spoke on her life, career and what the future holds for her.

1. Your readers would love to know about you, tell us about yourself.

Ans: My name is Comfort Oluwafunmilayo Arewa. I started my academic exploits by attending Command Children School Yaba for my Nursery & Pry education, after which I proceeded to Top Winners Int'l School for my Secondary School education. For my degree, I went to the famous Lagos State University (LASU) where I bagged my BSc Industrial Relations & Personnel Mgt.

I'm a simple, loving and very down-to-earth person. Also I'm very blunt in nature.

2. Your journey into MTN PFWA Season 8, how did it start?

Well, I simply put in for it, attended auditions in Lagos 3 times and I got into the academy the second time

3. What did you have in mind as your goal when going for it, did you envisage winning?

Yes, I went in with the mindset to be a better version of me, to reveal my abilities and to emerge winner of the reality show.

4. What was your immediate feelings when you discovered that you didn't make it in the 1st to 4th positions, and what's your feeling like now?

We were really close in the academy, hence whatever happens to anyone, we share in joy and glory. Though I felt sad in a splitting seconds, but instantly brought myself to the consciousness that it was a game and all I can do is be grateful for d lessons I've learnt, and the fame I got.
I must emphasise that It's not about who wins, it's more about what you do after winning. As a matter of fact, the experience taught me that I don't have to take the 1st position before I became a winner, because I already won the heart of my fans, and that's more than important to me.

5. How would you rate the process of deciding the winners, would you say it was fair enough?

Life itself is not fair really, but you can't stop what's meant to be.
If it's meant to be, there's nothing anyone can do about it. But to the best of my knowledge, the process enjoyed a well deserved transparency

6. Amongst the 5 other finalists, who was your greatest threat? You definitely should have at least ONE person aside yourself whom you'll admit has the most outstanding qualities deserving of a winner

In reality the six other finalists (including Kumi) were amazing bunch of talents. Honestly, they were all threats in their own rights and of varying degree. Their voices are very uncommon and outstanding

7. Comfort Arewa, you're literarily becoming a rave of the moment due to your being a finalist at the just concluded MTN Project Fame, how does that feel?

I feel blessed to be known and loved, and I'm gonna ride on this to do great things.

8. Share with your fans your most memorable experience in the project

Wowwww! So many memories o! But I have to admit, it's the experience of meeting my new family, I mean my housemates, it remains memorable. An evergreen one. Life would have been incomplete without meeting those beautiful guys. Now I have another family

9. What lesson did you learn from the project?

I've learnt that your voice is a tool, you can use it to do anything. I've learnt to be dynamic. I've learnt to be tolerant. I've learnt to appreciate Naija music alot more. And I've learnt the scopes of singing. All these were made possible with the help of my amazing faculty members. Big thanks to them

10. Now, MTN PFame has come and gone, dreams come true. What next?

What next for me is a lot of hard work. I'm hitting the studio and making sure I work 10 times harder than I ever done to accomplish my dreams. So I'm not gonna waste any time at all. God willing, things will fall in place

11. When should your fans be expecting your singles?

I have a collabo coming up apart from the one I did with 9ice (Gongo Aro remix)which you can make your caller ring back tune by sending 81 to 4100. The new collabo should be out by end of this month (October). Afterwards, my fans should expect back to back drop of hit songs from me.

12. Your parting shot to your fans

To all my fans out there, I wanna say a big thank you for loving and supporting me all through. I'm so grateful and only God can bless you all for me.
I'm gonna make sure I make you all proud by coming out with beautiful sounds.
Love u all
