President Muhammadu Buhari was a guest of Aljazeera network last night where he spoke on variety of issues especially as it concerns the terror group Boko haram.When reminded that over 1000 have lost their lives in Boko haram attacks since he took over as President ,Buhari said his government is doing everything humanly possible to defeat the insurgents..According to him,the dry season will be a crucial moment to crush the sect who according to him are still hiding within the forest.He affirmed he will not resign if at the end of the deadline of December 2015 which he has given as target to "finish" the sect is not met.On whether he will thinker with Nigeria's constitution to favour Islam,the President said he has no such right and that the constitution is well defined on issue of religion..He maintained that the country is a secular state.When asked if he is ready to negotiate with Boko haram on the abducted Chibok girls,the President said his government is ready to negotiate with the sect..He was not specific on whether this will be in terms of monetary or through the exchange of prisoners.President Buhari reaffirmed his new status as a democrat and not a dictator as being peddeled.He affirmed that he is ready to apologise if people still feel aggrieved with the roles he played as a military President.Finally,he assured the international community that he ll act swiftly if the report on human right abuses by Nigerian military men as documented by Amnesty International are made available to him.
