TANKER FIRE ACCIDENT AVERTED AT LAGOS AIRPORT

Officers of the Aerodrome Rescue and Fire Fighting Service of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria have averted fire disaster following a quick intervention.
At about 10.08hrs on Tuesday, 28th July, 2015, an articulated vehicle bearing Jet A1 fuel, belonging to Sahara Oil was involved in an accident adjacent JUHI (Joint User Hydrant Installation) premises along the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
The Accident Intervention System of the airport was activated immediately resulting in mitigating damages and restoration to normalcy.
The Authority wishes to assure all travellers and aviation stakeholders of its consistent commitment to safety and security of lives and property.
