SARAKI,DOGARA MAY NOT MOVE INTO OFFICIAL RESIDENCE ANYTIME SOON

President of the Senate, Senator Bukola Saraki and Speaker House of Representatives, Honourable Yakubu Dogara will still remain in their private houses or rented apartments for up to the end of this year, unless the Federal Capital Development Authority, FCDA expedite action on the completion of the official residences of these principal officers of the national assembly.
The edifices are approximately put at N24 billion, just as the National Houses’ scope of the work include the residences of the Senate President with Banquet Hall; Speaker of the House of Representatives with Banquet Hall; Deputy President of the Senate and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.
The new residences are located at the three Arms Zone and on the left side as one approaches the main entrance to the National Assembly.
The contract includes construction of residence of the Senate President, Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Deputy Senate President and Deputy Speaker. Each residential compound comprises a five-bedroom main building with a swimming pool and lawn tennis court, three-bedroom residence for ADC, three-bedroom guest house, four-bedroom staff quarters and a gate house.
There are common facilities such as chapel, mosque, banquet hall, general gate house and utilities.
