Ikorodu Finally Gets New Oba

After a long drawn battle of intrigues and uncertainty, Ikorodu finally gets a new monarch.

He is Oba Kabiru Adewale Sotobi, Adegorunshen V, the ayangburen of Ikorodu land.

He was conferred with official approval today in a solemn ceremony performed at Ikorodu by the outgoing governor of Lagos state, Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN.

It will be recalled that the late ayangburen, Oba Salaudeen Oyefusi, passed on early August last year, leaving the throne open for eligible sons of Ikorodu to refill.
