Chief Government Ekpemupolo, a.k.a Tompolo, has described the victory of the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari, as the will of God and the wish of Nigerians.
The former MEND leader, has also called for calm and order over the outcome of the Presidential and National Assembly elections held last weekend.
Tompolo made the call on Thursday, in Warri, in a statement signed by his spokesperson, Paul Bebenimibo.
“I believe that nothing can happen if God does not approve it. Peace is a prerequisite for national development. People should remain calm also during the governorship election,” Tompolo said.
Tompolo also used the medium to commend Nigerians, especially the South East and the South South people for their support in their failed bid to re-elect President Jonathan for another term.
“I want to appeal to all our people to be orderly, calm and embrace peace. The will of the people is sacrosanct and the existing peace be maintained,” he said.
