He has remained a talking point in Ogun State politics for over 3 decades. Many have come to see him as a god father of sort in Ogun State politics not only as a two time governor of the State but as a leading member of the AD,ACN and later APC.When Senator Ibikunle Amosun became the governor,he was seen as the defacto godfather to the governor.His influence became overbearing for the governor. Eventually things fell apart between them..The governor swallowed his pride ,begged Osoba to forgive him and let them sink their differences but he refused..Osoba saw himself as a Tin god who must be obeyed.He felt Ogun State was under his wrap.. He revived the SDP, dumped APC where he had so much as stake .He talked so many members of the APC in the National Assembly and State House of Assembly to follow him.The election has come and gone,Osoba and his candidates did not only lose woefully but Amosun was reelected for another 4 year term..Osoba has become a paper weight in politics,the once revered oracle has been laid bare. He has been demystified .Osoba has been taught a big lesson in politics.
