Following reactions to the alleged ban of African Independent Television (AIT) from covering the activities of the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari’s programmes of activities, the Vice President-elect, Yemi Osinbajo, has reassured Nigerians that the incoming administration will respect and promote the freedom of the press.
Osinbajo took to his twitter handle in the early hours of Wednesday to reiterate the position of the administration on the alleged clampdown on AIT.
He said: “Gen. Buhari’s administration will encourage free press and its role in aggregating the people’s views & presenting them lucidly to govt.”
