I Am Ready To Step On Toes If Elected Abia Governor..Dr Okezie Ikpeazu

The Peoples Democratic Party candidate for the April 12th Governorship election,Dr Okezie Ikpeazu today said if need be, he will step on some toes in order to achieve his desires for the Abia State people.
Dr Ikpeazu who was fielding questions from selected top Editors in Lagos today said ,he is in a hurry to articulate and execute his programmes for the people of Abi a and this may include the stepping on toes on some people who may want to derail his programmes.
Dr Okezie who sounds so confident of winning the coming election also used the occasion to debunk certain insinuations that he is a stooge of the current governor.He said in as much as he counts himself lucky to be picked out of so many qualified Abians for the top job but that he is a man of his own. According to him, lifting the city of Aba from its current state will be the priority of his administration. These will include uplifting current infrastructures, upgrading facilities at the Ariaria Market as well dealing with issue of environmental denigration which has become the lot of the commercial city.
On industrialization of the State,the governorship aspirant said he has a roadmap on how to revive various industries which are in comatose in the State as well as apply some new techniques that will make the internally generated revenue of the state from its current N500m monthly to about N2bn monthly.
He called on all Abia people to give him the maximum supports and votes so that he could actualise his dreams for the State.
The former deputy general manager of Abia State Environmental Sanitation Agency said the golden guinea brewery that has been in a state of coma for years will be commissioned before the end of current administration.
He said effort is in top gear that the ceramic industry in Umuahia which has a capacity to generate over 2000 jobs will soon be revived.. Talks are in top gear to also establish a tilling school within the school being presently owned by the Catholic Church.
Dr Ikpeazu also spoke on his relationship with the son of Abia State governor which he said is cordial based on mutual respect.
Also speaking at the event, the President of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria,Mr Chidi Anyaegbu said Abia professionals are fully ready to join hands with Dr Ikpeazu to move Abia forward.He said a developmental blueprint on how to expand Abia full potentials as a state has been prepared and handed over the governorship aspirant if he wins the forthcoming election
