The federal lawmaker said he and the state governor, Kashim Shettima, chattered the aircraft from Gombe.
Ndume, in a telephone interview , lamented that he was stranded at the Maiduguri International Airport.
The senator said he boarded the plane with Shettima from Gombe to Maiduguri enroute Abuja.
He, however, said on arrival in Maiduguri, the flight crew asked him to disembark, as according to them, they were not informed about the trip to Abuja.
He said shortly after Shettima left the airport, the crew asked him to leave the aircraft as they were to proceed to Akure and not Abuja.
He said, “I put a call to the chairman of the Senate Committee on Nigerian Air force, who tried to intervene but to no avail.
“They have now exposed me to unnecessary security risk as I have to travel back to Abuja by road yesterday (Monday) morning.
Ndume explained that he pleaded with the crew to take him to Akure as it would be easier for him to get to Abuja but that they refused.
The federal legislator, who is the Chairman, Senate Committee on Millennium Development Goals, said he had scheduled the 2015 budget defence of his committee for Monday morning, regretting that he wouldn’t be able to make the appointment in the light of the latest development.
He expressed regret that the development occurred at a period when the Federal Government had banned commercial flights to Maidiguri, which has subjected the people to untold hardship.
Ndume was last year, prevented from boarding a plane from Maiduguri to Abuja in a similar circumstances by the security agencies.
