Nigeria’s first lady, Mrs Patience Jonathan, has warned that the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Major-General Muhammadu Buhari, will stop at nothing to jail his perceived political enemies, if he should win the March 28 election.
She also admonished the people of Rivers State not to vote for Buhari in the election, cautioning that he would fill all the prisons across the country.
According to her, “once a dictator will always remain a dictator.”
Mrs Jonathan made this known while speaking at a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) women rally held at the Liberation Stadium, Port Harcourt, on Wednesday.
She said “Buhari does not have what it takes to fight corruption,” adding that “whenever he comes to you again, ask him what he did for Rivers State when he was head of state.”
The First Lady warned the women not to sell their permanent voter cards (PVC) for any amount of money, noting that it was within their power to vote out “this expired drug called APC.”
She said PDP would install Chief Nyesom Wike as the next governor of the state “because President Jonathan is a lion and he gave birth to a lion.”
Commenting on the allegation by the All Progressives Congress (APC) that she had a hand in the political crisis rocking the state, particularly the one at Okrika, Mrs Jonathan said she would not condescend so low to join issues with them because “they are rascal and I will not respond to them.”
