Operatives of the Nigeria Police have arrested suspected armed robbers/kidnappers in Asaba, Delta state capital following a tip off that the suspects; one Paul Egwom,, Vincent Uche Uzondu , Obinna Matthew and Otiolo brought two Toyota Lexus Jeep, RX350 to a workshop in Asaba along the express for re-spraying. Police investigation revealed that the hoodlums kidnapped one Titus Ayuba in December 2014 along Okpanam road Asaba while driving his Toyota Lexus RX 350 with Reg. No.AKU 230 HT and took him to a hideout at Uda layout,Asaba. The victim was later released on the fifth day after the payment of N1m ransom while the hoodlums took away the said Jeep and later called the victim on phone to pay additional N2m to enable him get back his vehicle, before luck ran against them.
Two Lexus Jeeps, one Toyota Camry car and laptop were recovered from them.
According to Delta state Police command Public Relation Officer, Celestina Kalu, investigation is ongoing.
