The 2015 Guber race in Abia State will be a straight battle between the candidate of the PDP Dr Okezie Ikpeazu and his APGA counterpart Dr Alex Otti.The two gladiators are the forebearers in the race.. Every other candidate is contesting on posters and stands no chance.
God's own State is awashed with the posters and jingles of both contenders. The people of Abia are poised to elect a successor to Gov T A Orji who is leavi...ng the stand after 8 years in office after taking over from his former boss,Orji Uzor Kalu.
Ikpeazu is a Phd holder and was once the General Manager of Abia State Environmental Agency ,the agency saddled with the responsibility of keeping Abia CLEAN.
Alex Otti on the other hand was the former Managing Director of Diamond Bank..A well grounded financial guru.
While Ikpeazu was picked and backed by Gov T A Orji as his successor, Otti on the hand has the backing of the Governor's opponents who feel that there is a need for a CHANGE from the old order.
CKN Nigeria investigations however showed that Dr Ikpeazu seems more on ground than Otti.With the full backing of the OCHENDO TRAIN,it's yet to be seen how the former Banker will beat Ikpeazu to the crown.
From all indication, CKN NIGERIA can authoritatively predict that the PDP candidate will pick the Abia Governorship ticket in February..Otti is expected to give a good account of himself but it will be an IKPEAZU's victory..
