Bomb Attack Kills 30 At Jos Motor Park

A twin bomb blast killed more than 30 people in the Terminus area of Jos on Thursday evening where a similar blast killed over 100 on May 20, this year.
The blasts which occurred at about 6.15 pm at the Terminus roundabout apparently targeted sellers of second-hand clothes who usually take advantage of the night-time to display their wares because officials of the Jos Metropolitan Development Board (JMDB) rarely move against the hawkers at night.
A journalist, Mohammed Tanko Shittu who was on the spot said he counted 31 corpses.
He explained the twin blasts occurred between the Terminus and Ahmadu Bello Way roundabouts which lie in the city of Jos.
Media Officer of the Special Task Force (STF) Ikedichi Iweha said STF officials and men were still busy conveying victims away from the scene and doing mop and wete yet to determine casualty figures.
The Plateau state Police command spokesman, Emmanuel Abuh also confirmed the blast. He asked for time to get more information.
