Sometime last year,Desmond Elliot,Segun Arinze and I were flying back to Lagos from Owerri where we went for the burial of Segun's father in law in Oguta..As the Arik Air hit the sky,Desmond Elliot and I started chatting..I saw how engrossed he was studying a paper in his hand and I asked him what it was..He told me he was trying to piece together a script for a jingle he wants to produce for a certain... politician in whom he so much believe in..The guy is a guber candidate in Lagos now..I told him I never knew he likes politics..He smiled and told me everyone is a politician and that he has been part of Lagos politics in the past few years but he remains in the background..I told him he was lying..His next word shocked..He looked me straight in the eyes and said,CKN,I ll shock most of you soon..I took it as one of those movie tricks..Same day,we had to quickly arrange to shoot a TVC for a free commercial we wanted to do for FRSC as Celebrity Special Marshals..Segun Arinze,Sunny Neji,Desmond Elliot and I spent sometime at Kingsley Ogori's studio to shoot the TVC..The guys were selfless,none of them collected a dime for it..During this period ,I asked Desmond the same question again,you sure say you mean that thing wey you tell me inside plane..And he smiled and said,bros once i ve made up my mind about something I pursue till end..When Desmond's poster came out few months ago although I was one of the media guys that gave it serious publicity,I just like many others never believed he was serious..The result today has taught me another good lesson, even if people don't believe in you..Believe in your self ..Desmond I doff my hat for you..You ve made some us of proud..When I posted his first poster on my wall,a popular Lagos politician told me he was a joker..Well,the young man is almost there..I will soon have a friend and brother as a Honourable..Who doesn't like to associate with success.
