The APC’s
governorship primaries across the 36 states will hold today.
Investigations
reveal that all is now set for the exercise. More than 100 governorship
aspirants are eying the party’s tickets. Lagos has the highest number of
aspirants with no fewer than 12 in the race.
However, in
the APC-controlled states where the governors are in their first term, there
are strong indications that the incumbents have been granted automatic return
tickets.
Lagos has a
total of 6,196 delegates with over 4,000 elected and over 2,000 statutory
delegates. The exercise will take place at Onikan Stadium, Lagos, by 9am.
