Men of the Enugu State Police Command have arrested four
armed robbery suspects and a member of the gang that recently robbed passengers
in a luxury bus at Obolo-Afor.State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ebere
Amaraizu, said in a statement in Enugu, yesterday, that the four armed robbery
suspects were arrested through the assistance of Agume police operatives of
Kogi State Command.He said one of the suspects was first arrested, and that
following his confession, “the Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS, operatives
stormed Iwollo in Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State, where some of
his gang members were arrested for robbing at 9th Mile in Udi Local Government
Area.“Four camouflage uniforms, believed to be that of the force; National
Youth Service Corp, NYSC, uniform; one locally-made single-barrelled gun and
five cartridges have been recovered.
