Dear AFRIMA
Media Partner,
This is to bring to your notice that the AFRIMA programme of events has undergone some urgent modifications in order to help us better host Africa and the rest of the world at 2014 Awards Ceremony.
Following are the changes:
1. The four-day festival style music concert AFRIMA Music Village Tuesday, November 4 to Friday, November 7, will no longer hold. It was packaged to be an outdoor event with performances on an open stage on the grounds of Landmark Event Centre. There were meant to be cultural exhibitions and artistic displays in the outdoor arena for the concert.
However, uncharacteristically for the season, the rains have persisted in Lagos with heavy winds and thunderstorms. And the weather forecast for Lagos in the new week predicts rainfall. This informed the decision to cancel the outdoor activities.
2. The two-day Africa Music Summit -November 6 to November 7, will now hold on Friday, November 7 as a one-day affair.
3. All other activities such as the Awards Ceremony (7.30 p.m.) and Red Carpet activation from 4.30 p.m on Sunday, November 9 remain unchanged.
On Saturday, November 8, AFRIMA Nominees will pay visits to partner media houses in Lagos for interviews.
With best regards,
Iyere Ikhide
