Tribute To Late Reginald Ukadike Who Died In A Ghastly Accident ( By Onwuasonye Jones)

Some weeks ago, the social media was awash with gory pictures and tales of yet another fatal crash at that part of Imo that has become a pot of blood; IMSU JUNCTION.
So many of such gory tales have been here and there in the past, even worst. But like they like to say in my local parlance; Eburu ozu onye ozo, odi ka ebu ugbo nkwu, literally meaning: a corpse seems like the stump of wood to them least affected by that death. Thank God, I am not one ...of those who feels less concerned about the death of another, the death of any human pains, especially in such painful circumstance as Tugo's.
Amanna Reginald Ukadike has been my friend and brother since I knew the value of those words. His father; a teacher was a regular face in my grandfather's shop at Oye Akokwa. His father; the jovial, easy going but disciplined Chief Barrister Ukadike will always make me feel cool, whenever he came around. Amanna, like his father never frowns, smiles never missed from his visage, such that I wondered if he ever got angry. Like myself, Amanna or Tugo as we like to call him graduated from Imo State University, Owerri. He had a brief stint working in the bank, before he resigned to set up his own business. In less than four years, Amanna has been able to grow his business into a moderate conglomerate, dealing on wears, cosmetics and sundry items. He was a hard-working young man with a good eyes for business. He was involved in importing goods from China, too.
An obedient child and a caring brother, he was on his way home on the invitation of his father, but decided to stop over at Owerri to check out his younger sister who schools at IMSU. It was after seeing his sister and helping her solve some of her problems, that he met his untimely death at IMSU junction. He died a most painful death, with his limb ripped off, and breath snuffed out of him by a heavily laden truck.
Today, he will be laid to rest in his father's compound at Akwu, Akokwa. He struggled for a good life, he died a painful death.
For Tugo, it is the end of struggles.
Rest in peace, Amanna.
