The Ekiti Democratic Coalition, has alleged that APC Chieftain ,Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has concluded plans to impeach newly sworn in governor,Ayodele fayose.
In a statement issued on Wednesday and signed by its Coordinator, Comrade Aderemi Olaleye, the group alleged that the lawmakers met with the National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and former Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State in Lagos on Tuesday
The 15 All Progressives Congress House of Assembly members in Ekiti State have allegedly been bribed with N800 million to impeach the state Governor, Ayodele Fayose.
The Ekiti Democratic Coalition, which made the allegation in a statement on Wednesday and signed by its Coordinator, Comrade Aderemi Olaleye, alleged that the lawmakers met with the National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and former Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State in Lagos on Tuesday.
The EDC said it was at the meeting that the directive to impeach Fayose was given.
The EDC alleged that each of the lawmakers got N50 million, while the Speaker, Dr. Adewale Omirin, was given N100 million.
The EDC said in the statement: “The lawmakers will be hinging the impeachment on the dissolution of Local Councils Caretaker Committee.
“Apart from the Speaker, some of the lawmakers who attended the meeting were the Deputy Speaker, Adetunji Orisalade (Ido/Osi II); Majority Leader, Churchill Adedipe (Irepodun/Ifelodun I); Adetunji Odu ((Irepodun/Ifelodun I); and Ogunrinde Ojo-Olaseinde (Moba I).
“Tinubu instructed the assembly members to make sure that Ekiti State is made ungovernable for Governor Fayose.”
