  • Bayo Olunla Adeoye Evelyn Ezomo, they didnt gain anything, and it is not about gaining something. Plagiarism is a serious international crime. All want they asked from her is not that u shouldnt lift stories from other sources but simply give credit whenever u do that.

  • Okanni Bede Ebukhaldum According to wiki ....For other uses, see Plagiarism (disambiguation) .
For Wikipedia policies concerning plagiarism, see
    Wikipedia:Plagiarism and Wikipedia:Copyright violations.
Plagiarism is the "wrongful appropriation" and "stealing
and publication" of another author's "language, thoughts,
ideas, or expressions" and the representation of them as
one's own original work . [1][2] The idea remains
problematic with unclear definitions and unclear rules. [3]
[4][5] The modern concept of plagiarism as immoral and
originality as an ideal emerged in Europe only in the 18th
century, particularly with the Romantic movement .
Plagiarism is considered academic dishonesty and a
breach of journalistic ethics . It is subject to sanctions
like penalties, suspension, and even expulsion.
Plagiarism is not a crime per se but in academia and
industry, it is a serious ethical offense, [6][7] and cases of
    plagiarism can constitute copyright
    infringement . [ citation needed ]

  • Tokunbo Peters The problem was with her pride and arrogance. All Dare wanted from her was a simple "sorry" and to give him credit for d material. But she was too proud to come down from her olympian height. Too bad she had to learn the hard way. This should serve as a lesson to would be plagiarists .

  • Ralph O. Ahanonu Too bad this is happening to Linda at a time she is riding very high and considered Nigeria's numero uno blogger. She has succeeded in driving traffic to her blog and she is the darling of Corporate Nigeria. Somehow, she expected this turn of events. Yesterday, she wrote an epistle on how she was being hounded by these people. Now, it has paid off for her detractors. According to her, she has been the subject of attack for sometime now. The current case of plagiarism reported to GOOGLE arose when she published pictures of a South West first class monarch and his Oloris shopping in London. She was accused of passing off the pictures as hers without crediting the origingal source. Success has many brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, cousins and, of course, enemies. Failure is an orphan. Who would ve hounded Linda Ikeja out of business if she was still the struggling blogger she was in 2006 - looking for enticing, killer human angle stories and blog traffic. She will bounce back again.

  • Isa Kuburat This isn't abt discrediting her or dt some ppl or "ghost" wants to see her fall. We take things in Nigeria for granted, cos she is Linda Ikeji doesn't mean she can't do no wrong. If u use someone's publications or stories why won't u acknowledge d source? Is it dt difficult to give credit to who it is due? I hope she has learnt her lesson so when she gets back on her feet again she will do a better job of serving us wt her usual juicy news while always taking into account d real reason she had ds huge setback

  • Nwafor Chukwubuikem Other bloggers lift people's work without consultation or crediting them, though am not in support of that, but then, I smell jealousy, and, this photo confirms it. this lady have really proven to the world that, as a lady, you can be whatever you want to without "Trade by Batter" she won my heart when she started giving out money to her readers online! She will learn no doubt, and get herself more organized.

  • Jagunmolu Oluwadare Lasisi The Fall Of Linda Ikeji : I was the first person on Facebook to expose the celebrated 'Queen' blogger as a plagiarist when she nicked all my Alaafin's photos from my blog without acknowledgement.I 'screamed' on Facebook for help!Nothing happened.I emailed her for more than 5 times. She stupidly ignored me(unknown attention-seeking blogger looking for cheap popularity?).I later received many messages from Linda's loyalists telling me this hocus pocus gibberish :"We are begging you on behalf of 'untouchable' Linda Ikeji. Please forgive and forget. You know she has an ego problem and very arrogant. She cannot say sorry over copyright infringement, maybe due to 'too much' money." I just laughed in Kiswahili language because Linda Ikeji considered me as nobody! The rest is now history.I will write a full report soon on this Lindagate scandal.I am still digging deeper into some dark areas.Nigeria is indeed theatre of absurdity with many Linda-like characters. As Yoruba proverb says :"You're a branded as a thief but you're still carrying a baby goat to dance naked in a market place." You're a Google-certified plagiarist, but said you're being 'witch-hunted' because you just bought the latest Range Rover jeep!Who cares if you buy a private jet?Bottomline : Try to be humble no matter your talent, knowledge, fame and wealth in life.Nobody knows tomorrow of anybody.#OLUWATIDAMILARE#

  • Agu Anthony Ejike Ji sie ike.
  • Daphnne DeGaull Etiobhio But Chris, it would be nice to know what your position is on this matter.
  • Precious Eze Uncle Chris, is never a two-faced individual, that I know for sure bt certainly, some issues are better kept the way they are! My anger with Linda came immediately I read her response to those guys whom she claimed pulled her down and in that response, she claimed she didn't have an office space, staff etc and I began to wonder what she would be doing with cars worth close to 35million naira and she doesn't have a house of her own yet, she doesn't have an office space nor hands working for her with graduates everywhere looking for who will even pay them 20k atleast for a start? Very shameful indeed!

  • Precious Eze I love and still loves Linda Ikeji but true love says the truth no matter who is involved! She goofed big time so long as I am concerned on those things I earlier mentioned! I sincerely have no issues with her being arrogant or whatsoever name anyone may wish to call her, but truth is, in the midst of those names, I would have been happier if she did better in setting up structures that will outlive her!

  • Ivy Kanu Well to go for a story is the hardest job for every journalist and very unfair to not only have another copy and paste but also make cash off that without credit to the owner is even worse.

  • Fidelis Mbah Nobody wants to pull Linda down; she just did not do the right thing. It wont have cost her anything if she credited her sources. It's shocking some so-called feminists are backing her actions cos she is a woman. Plagiarism is an international crime.

  • Nkem Augustina Amadi-Chukwuemeka Amala Umeike, I don't care who Linda is to u & I don' know Oluwadare Lasis, I also do not think Lasis did anything wrong to Linda or celebrating Linda's down fall. Linda pull down herself & she did everything wrong in this business, infact Lasis should sue her.
  • Cosmos Damian @jagunmolu Oluwadare Lasisi Tell me which blog or news website in Nigeria that doesn't copy content from other sources?
  • Mary Oge Chuks Instead of buying assorted cars, Linda Ikeji should use the money to build a well secured website and stop taking people's work without crediting the owner's of the work as for people hating on her there is God.....#myownopinion
  • Obiorah T. Momife The mistake is made. What have you learnt from this...? I pray she learns from this obvious revelation of man's cruelty displayed quite calously. What she buys with her money I believe is her choice...! Some may prefer houses, some may prefer women or men, some may prefer books and study etc. We are all guilty, but the one caught is the only evil one...yet those that hurl the stones in their pockets have stolen goods. Mtcheeew!
  • Nelson Ekujumi My people the Yorubas say, ti Isu eni ba jinaa, a ma fo wo bo jee ni, meaning the world is full of haters when you are a success, she should have lived a low profile life instead of flaunting her wealth which is the source of her downfall now
