The Leader of the Niger Delta Volunteer Force,Asasi Dokubo has dismissed the rumour making the rounds across the country that he was detained in South Africa over the $9.3m arms deal..Speaking exclusively to CKN Nigeria this evening, the media aide to the ex militant leader Mr Appoloss E Enyinnaya said Asari has not been in South Africa for a long time.,..He dismissed the rumour as the handiwork of members of the opposition and distractors. He informed CKN Nigeria that Asaari Dokubo left for Saudi Arabia for Hajj this afternoon via Kaduna International Airport. He will be in the holy land for some days ..For the past few weeks he has been in Benin Republic seeing through affairs at his University based in the Benin Republic capital. The arms deal which has affected relationship between the two giant African countries was ferried in a private jet owned by the President of Christian Association of Nigeria ,Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor and was seized at Johannesburg International Airport.
