NCAA Boss Drives Through Runway To Stop Abuja Bound Plane
A minor commotion was recorded on Monday at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, when a vehicle conveying the Acting Director General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Mr. Benedict Adeyileka, sped off on the runway to block an Arik Air flight leaving for buja.
Further findings from Daily Times Nigeria r...evealed that the Acting DG sped off on the runway illegally to stop the flight from leaving because he was supposed to be on board but couldn’t make it there when other passengers were boarding.
One of the passengers on board the Arik Air flight who couldn’t hide his displeasure anymore told Daily Times Nigeria that passengers were made to wait for some hours behind normal schedule before they could board the plane. However, a few minutes after the Acting DG boarded the plane after blocking it from departing; the source revealed that the DG decided not to continue with the planned journey thereby subjecting passengers to another round of waiting for him to disembark.
Efforts to reach the Acting DG haven’t been successful at the time of this report.
