As the clock ticks to the general elections early next year, a new Book on history of Nigerian elections has just been published, according to a news release in Abuja by Aloy Ejimakor, CEO of HE Media Ltd, publishers of the Book.
The Book, aptly titled 'JINX BREAKER: The Installation Of A New Political Order In Nigeria' is a compendium of a most painstaking research of history of Nigerian elections from pre-independence to the present with special spotlight on the tenure of Prof. Maurice Iwu as Chairman of INEC.
It is authored by Elvis Iwuajoku, a research historian; and the Foreword to the Book is written by His Excellency, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, former governor of Abia state.
The public presentation of the Book is scheduled to hold on August 12, 2014 at Yar'Adua Centre, Abuja at 12 noon. The event will be chaired by Senator David Mark, President of the Senate, with the governors of the following States as Book presenters: Akwa Ibom, Abia, Niger, Ondo and Sokoto.
Some elder statesmen will also be attending the event as Special Guests. These include Dr. Bamanga Tukur, Chief Tony Anenih, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu and Chief Bode George.
