A High court sitting in Imo State Capital,Owerri has
placed an order restraining further publication of any defamatory statement
about the person of Imo State Deputy Govenor Chief Eze Madumere.
This came on the hill of certain publication against
the person of the Deputy Governor accusing him of being a homosexual.
The publication which went virile on social media was
made by one Mrs Sandra Duru , who had alleged to have caught the deputy governor
and her estranged husband Hon Uche Rajis in an uncompressing manner in a hotel in
Owerri.
The story which was also published by CKN Nigeria had
it that the Imo State second citizen has been engaging in the act for a long
time.
But in a court ruling in the suit HOW/795/2013, the Imo
State Judge restrained Mrs Duru and other parties from further publication of
the allegation.
The deputy governor who sued Mrs Duru and others for N200, 000,000
(Two hundred million Naira) has accused her of trying to tarnish his earned
image which has taken him so many years to build.
He accused the woman of ulterior motives.
The court order which was sighted by CKN Nigeria
further put on notice a certain News Bearer Publication (the originators of the
publication) to also course to be published a retraction of the initial story
as well as an apology in a National newspaper to the deputy governor.
We cannot verify if the directive have been adhered to
by the Publication.
Before becoming Deputy Governor, Mr Madumere worked as
a Personal Assistant to Owelle Rochas Okorocha as well as Chief of Staff.
He is from Ngor Okpalla LGA in Imo State.
The astute amiable politician and technocrat is being
fingered as one of the arrow heads behind the tremendous success story of
Owelle Rochas Okorocha’s in Imo State in the past three years.
It is being rumoured that he will be taking a shot at
the Governorship of the State if his principal decides not to run for a second
term.
It will be evil beyond pardon if the deputy governor is gay and he try to use his political power to subdue authority. Behold that in Nigeria 'law makers are law breakers'
