Bola Ige's (Muyiwa) Congratulates Aregbesola On Victory

Arc. Muyiwa Ige, son of late Attorney General of Nigeria, Chief Bola Ige has sent a congratulatory note to the people of Osun State on the recent victory of Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola during last weekend’s gubernatorial election in the state.
Ige, the state’s Commissioner for Lands, Physical Planning and Urban Development said the victory of Ogbeni Aregbesola at the poll went further to confirm that the governor’s performance in the last four years has been near excellent, adding that this is one of the virtues expected of anybody that occupies the Bola Ige House, the governor’s office at Abere.
His words “For those of us close enough to my father, Chief Bola Ige, excellence in governance is the ultimate goal as an administrator. How did Ogbeni achieve excellence? He constantly put the fear of God and the welfare of the people above everything. As a governor, he ensured that he gave attention to all. He is a complete politician who worked hard to put smiles on the faces of the people of the state of Osun.”
While expressing his appreciation to the people of Osun State for coming out en-masse to vote for the All Progressives Congress candidate during last Saturday’s election,     Ige revealed that the victory has made him to be more personally grateful to the people of the state for not letting his late father down.
“Our opponents had a very devilish agenda to disgrace the spirit of my father. If not, is it not a sacrilege for someone who is widely believed to be involved in the brutal assassination of my father to now emerge winner and go on to occupy the Bola Ige  House, the governor’s office at Abere? The good Lord prevented this, the Omoluabi people of our state collectively repelled this ‘devilish scheme’. Our people spoke and reaffirmed that they are satisfied with the good work Ogbeni Rauf has been doing, they spoke to tell the usurpers that they want to move forward as a people, that they do not want to allow those who would draw back the hands of the progressive clock in the state, our people voted violently against gangsterism, they voted against people who do not have any manifesto, they voted for good governance, they voted for a man who has been tested and trusted”
Ige also gave kudos to the people of Esa Oke, in Obokun Local Government Area of the state for standing solidly behind him to ensure that they voted against those he referred to as “people with evil machinations against the spirit of my late father”
“Their intention was to come to Esa Oke to defeat us. But God sent the spirit of my father and he joined our people to vote in all the polling stations in Esa Oke and indeed the whole of the State of Osun. Enemies of progress were mauled at the election. I will say this is poetic justice. Our people reaffirmed that they are genuine Omoluabis. They made sure victory was assured. Destiny was fulfilled”
The architect son of the late Attorney General and Minister of Justice of Nigeria, however, concluded by submitting that “Ogbeni Aregbesola and others in his government have resolved to be humble and magnanimous in victory. We will welcome all those who worked against us. Infact, we will invite them to join us. They still remain our brothers and sisters. We need all hands to be on deck to take the State of Osun to the greatest height”.
