The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mohammed Bello Adoke,SAN, has assured the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) of his Ministry’s support.

The Minister, while congratulating the Corps Marshal, described his appointment as well deserved. He further stated that with the President’s action in appointing a serving officer of the Corps to head the organisation, the confidence and morale of other serving officers have been boosted, as they have been reassured of the possibility of reaching the peak of their profession.
He commended the FRSC for its commitment to road safety campaigns, and enjoined all road users to join hands in making the nation’s road safer. According to him, though the challenge of road traffic crashes is still in the country, it would have been unimaginable, if FRSC does not exist to do what it has been doing to manage the nation’s roads.
“I know that there are still cases of road traffic crashes and fatality in the country; but it would be unbearable if FRSC does not exist to do what it has been doing to create public enlightenment and enforcement of the law.
“Therefore, let me assure you that we would continue to support your campaign for safer roads, and impress it on relevant stakeholders to render the necessary moral and logistics support,” he stated.
Earlier on, the Corps Marshal intimated the Minister about his plans to embark on aggressive public enlightenment programme and enforcement of traffic laws, which he said, require the support of all relevant stakeholders, especially the Ministry of Justice. He recalled that the FRSC Management is aware of the Ministry’s consistent support to the organisation, and called on him to sustain it for the Corps to build on the legacies..
The Corps Marshal was accompanied on the visit by some Principal Officers of the National Headquarters, including the Deputy Corps Marshal in charge of Operations, Danjuma Garba; the Corps Legal Adviser, George Olaniran and the Special Assistant to the Corps Marshal, Julius Asom, among others.
